Purple Asparagus

This variety of Asparagus has a nuttier flavour and is sweeter than the green spears.
​
The pigment which gives this its vibrant colour has antioxidants, shown to have health benefits, as well as folate and vitamins A,C & K.

Try raw Asparagus added to pasta dishes and salads or enjoy spears lightly Steamed or Sautéd, in a frittata or with Hollandaise sauce.

Samphire
Samphire is a sea vegetable, and is loaded with a variety of nutrients. Samphire is rich in vitamins A, C, B2, and D as well as having high levels of Iodine, iron, calcium, magnesium, silica, zinc and manganese, and rich in fibre and amino acids.
Samphire can be eaten raw or cooked, for best results blanch in boiling water for a few minutes. A great accompaniment to fish, seafood and lamb or delicious served sauted in butter then dressed in olive oil, lemon,garlic.
